About Sendix
Sendix checks education and support plans for the people who have to deliver them.
What we do
An EHCP can have every section filled in and still fail the child it was written for. Provision described as “appropriate support, as required” may be too vague to hold anyone to, and a target that says a child will “make progress over time” cannot be measured.
For EHCPs in England, Sendix reads each plan against the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015. It explains each problem with its basis, drafts a rewrite from evidence already in the file, says what evidence is missing rather than guessing, and exports the agreed Section F changes as a Word amendment with tracked changes for the council.
In Scotland, Sendix flags Child’s Plans against GIRFEC practice guidance and leaves the fix to a practitioner; there is no Scottish export yet. Co-ordinated Support Plan review, under the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004, is in validation and not yet available for real plans. Individualised Educational Programmes (IEPs) are not supported.
A professional decides every change. Sendix does the reading and the drafting; nothing goes into a plan until a person has signed it off.
Who it is for
SENCOs and inclusion leads in mainstream and special schools, FE colleges, multi-academy trusts, and local authority SEND and ASN teams in England and Scotland.
